Q&A

What is resurfacing and how is it different from epoxy coatings?

Resurfacing renders the surface porous, whereas the application of an epoxy system achieves an essentially waterproof quality, facilitating the effortless cleanup of spills with a simple cloth. It is important to note that for the proper installation of an epoxy system, a prior resurfacing step is imperative, involving the repair of any existing cracks through the use of a fast-setting epoxy crack/joint filler. Resurfacing serves as the preparatory phase, paving the way for subsequent finishing techniques, including polishing with diamond pads or the application of an epoxy/polyaspartic system.
